Dr David Clark, DC, NMD
Dr. David Clark is a Chiropractic Internist [DABCI] and a Naturopath [NMD]. He has been in private practice since 1975.
Dr. Clark is President Emeritus of the Missouri Naturopathic Medical Association, and past Vice- President of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists. He is a Diplomate of the International Board of Diagnosis and Preventive Medicine, and Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists. He has served on the faculty of Cleveland Chiropractic College, and John Thomas College of Naturopathic Medicine. He is on the board of Missouri Chiropractic Injectable Nutrition Association. Dr. Clark has taught many post- graduate classes for doctors on laboratory interpretation, physical examination and diagnosis, and alternative treatment methods.
David Clark intended to become a medical doctor, and was accepted for advanced placement at both Johns Hopkins and University of Pennsylvania medical schools. When his own health issues could not be helped by traditional medicine and drug therapy, he found incredible help from a doctor practicing alternative medicine. For that reason, he changed direction, and pursued education in natural health care.
More than 25 years ago, people from all over the country began to hear good reports of his success in treating chronic illness with alternative methods, and began traveling to his little office in Oak Grove, Missouri. In 1999, he more than quadrupled the size of his office to accommodate patient volume, and established the Health Plus Clinic.
Dr Richard Prather, DC
Dr. Richard Prather moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1999, to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College. After graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College-KC in 2004, Dr. Prather opened a chiropractic office in Lee’s Summit, MO, where he proudly practiced for ten years. In the time he had his own practice, Dr. Prather treated numerous people for a multitude of complaints. After selling his practice Dr. Prather was looking for his next challenge and found it at Health+Plus.
One of our goals at Health+Plus is to make regular chiropractic treatments both available and affordable. We have taken great strides to achieve both of those goals. Here at Health+Plus we are taking the approach that Wellness care is one of the keys to leading healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Prather believes that everyone’s spine gets misaligned with our busy lifestyles, because of this it is important to realign the spine on a consistent basis to try to prevent major issues from developing. Consistent chiropractic care can help with: Joint motion, relief from pain(s), better physical performance, improving posture, decreasing tension and stress.
Dr. Prather believes that the most important goal to treatment is to treat the cause, so he is committed to helping families in the community experience improved health and wellness. He educates patients on prevention of injury in the workplace and at home, and how to try to achieve wellness in all facets of life.
Dr Prather has now ventured into the world of radio. Co-hosting HealthWatch KC, with Randy Miller. Health Watch KC is a weekly program showcasing a more holistic and alternative approach to health and wellness, featuring many local practitioners and businesses.
Dr Diane Voss, MD
Dr. Diane Voss has been practicing internal medicine for more than 20 years. She has an ardent interest in holistic alternative medicine, nutritional therapies, and in coaching people to improve their lifestyle to enjoy better health.
Dr. Voss received her medical degree from the University of Missouri in 1989. In 1992, she was accepted into the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She has been a medical professor at the University of Missouri, in Kansas City, and a teaching physician in the Department of Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Dr. Voss was a contributing author to two editions of the Saunders Manual of Medical Practice. She is Preceptor of the UMKC advanced nursing program, Director of Hospice Advantage, and on the Board of Directors of Medical Lodges.
Dr. Voss is a member of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine [ACAM] - the foremost group of physicians who practice integrative medicine. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians, Society of General Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Women's Association.
Dr. Voss enjoys working with people as individuals, and is excited to help the patients at Health Plus on their journey toward optimal health.
Deborah Rodman, Family Nurse Practitioner
Deborah (Debbie) Rodman is licensed in Missouri, Kansas & Hawaii. Her passion for alternative medicine began years ago and has accelerated in practice & studies. Her latest quest is the pursuit of a certification in Functional Medicine, which seeks the cause of chronic illness and determines treatment for each person individually. She taught in a Nursing program for 6 years and continues to enjoy teaching nutrition and alternative health in a variety of settings. Her mission is to serve as a guide to empower patients to their optimal level of health through alternative & holistic medicine.
Debbie is a life-long learner, obtaining four degrees; these include a Masters in Nursing from KU and a Masters in Psychology from MU.
Debbie has performed research studies in medicine and psychology; she has been published in several professional journals. She is a member of several professional organizations as well, to include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Institute of Functional Medicine. She served 2 years as Co-Chair of the AHNA, Kansas University Chapter.
Each day Debbie strives to bring compassion, love and knowledge to her patients. She is very excited and grateful to be part of the HealthPlus team.
Dr Donald R Butts
Dr Donald Butts has been involved in Alternative Medicine for decades; having successfully used intravenous vitamin therapy with many of his patients. Dr Butts was a follower of Dr Linus Pauling, the Nobel Prize winning pioneer of high-dose vitamin C therapy.
Dr Butts is a primary care medical doctor, as well as a psychiatrist and consulting physician with Health+Plus.
